What we repair
- Nail pops and screw pops
- Cracks at corners, over doors and windows, and along ceiling lines
- Holes from anchors, door handles, wiring and old fixtures
- Seams and corner bead that have started to show
- Water-stained ceilings once the leak has been fixed
- Cracked plaster walls in older homes
Why repairs show through paint
A patch that isn't sanded flat and primed reads differently from the wall around it. Under raking light, like a window at the end of a hallway or a ceiling light, you see the outline. That's called flashing, and it's the giveaway of a rushed job.
Every repair we make is feathered out, sanded and spot-primed before finish paint, and larger problem areas are skim coated so the whole wall has one even surface.
Drywall in Michigan homes
Dry winter air from forced-air heating makes framing and drywall move. That's why the same seams and corners crack again in many Oakland County homes. Where cracks keep coming back, we reinforce the repair rather than just filling it again.
Repair as part of a paint job
Most of our drywall work is done as part of an interior painting project, so the repairs and the paint are handled by the same crew on the same schedule. If you only need repairs ahead of a sale or after other work, ask. We'll tell you whether it makes sense.
Problems we fix

- Water stains after a roof or plumbing leak
- Patches that show through the paint
