What we wash
- House exteriors: vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement, brick and painted wood
- Driveways and sidewalks
- Decks and porches
- Patios and other concrete surfaces
Why homes here get dirty fast
Humidity and heavy tree cover across Oakland County mean siding grows algae and mildew faster than it would in a drier climate, especially on north-facing walls and homes near the lakes. Older aluminum siding also oxidizes into a chalky film that rubs off on your hand.
Washing before painting
Pressure washing is included in every JMJ exterior painting project. New paint can only bond to a clean surface; paint over chalk, dirt or mildew and the coating fails early. We wash at a minimum of 2,000 PSI before any exterior prep begins.
Washing on its own
Power washing is also available as a standalone service: before you sell, before a deck gets restained, or just to bring the house back to clean. We adjust pressure and approach to the surface so we clean it without damaging it.
Problems we fix
- Green algae on vinyl siding
- Black mildew on shaded walls
- Chalky residue on old aluminum siding
- Stained driveways and walkways
